Who we are ... Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation operates the Wolf Creek Generating Station, Kansas' first nuclear power generating station, for three utility owners in Kansas and Missouri. Wolf Creek Generating Station is located in Coffey County, Kansas, just northeast of Burlington. We are about 55 miles south of Topeka, 90 miles southwest of Kansas City and 120 miles northeast of Wichita. Wolf Creek has been safely providing clean energy to the citizens of Kansas and Missouri since 1985. The plant generates about 1,200 megawatt electrical, which is enough energy for approximately 800,000 homes!
